Website and inquiry information

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Winter Roofing, Inc. handles information collected through this website and related communications.

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  • Information you provide. When you request an estimate, inspection, or other follow-up, you may provide contact information, a property location, project or roof details, timing, preferred contact method, and optional managed-property or reporting information.
  • Website and referral information. Our website, hosting provider, and measurement tools may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, timestamps, approximate location, referring pages, and campaign or referral identifiers.
  • Communications. We may retain the substance of emails, calls, texts, photos, documents, and other communications connected with an inquiry or project.

Please do not include sensitive personal, financial, medical, or account-access information in a website form or project-notes field.

How we use information

We may use information to:

  • respond to inquiries and communicate about the requested roofing service;
  • confirm service-area fit, schedule visits, prepare scopes or estimates, and administer projects;
  • understand website performance and which pages or referrals lead to inquiries;
  • protect the website, prevent spam or abuse, and troubleshoot technical problems;
  • maintain business, contract, warranty, and dispute-resolution records; and
  • comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and property of Winter Roofing and others.

Submitting a request permits us to respond about that request using the contact method you select. It does not, by itself, enroll you in unrelated marketing.

Service providers and disclosures

We may disclose information to providers that help operate our website, hosting, email and communications, analytics, lead handling, and security. Optional Google Analytics is off unless you choose to allow it. After permission, Google Analytics may receive online identifiers and website-usage or referral data. Cloudflare Turnstile may process IP, device, and interaction signals when bot protection is enabled. Those providers handle information under their own terms and our arrangements with them.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, insurers, government authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, address a dispute, complete a business transaction, or follow your direction.

The website is not designed to sell the contact or project information submitted through our lead forms. California law may treat some disclosure of online identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising as “sharing,” even when no money is exchanged. If our practices are subject to a sale-or-sharing opt-out requirement, we will provide and honor the choices required by applicable law.

Retention

We do not use one fixed retention period for every category. Inquiry and project records may be kept while we respond, prepare or perform work, maintain contract or warranty records, resolve disputes, meet tax or legal obligations, and protect website security. Provider logs and backups may remain until they are overwritten or deleted under the applicable provider's schedule.

Your choices

  • You may omit form fields that are identified as optional.
  • You may ask us to update contact information associated with your inquiry.
  • You may tell us that you no longer want a particular form of follow-up.
  • You may allow or decline optional website analytics using the controls below.

Optional analytics remains off until you choose “Allow analytics.” We store that choice in your browser so it can be applied on later visits. This website treats an enabled Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal as a direction to keep optional analytics off.

Optional analytics preference

Optional analytics is off until you choose whether to allow it.

California privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to our business and the information involved, California residents may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales or sharing or limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Applicable law may provide exceptions and may permit us to verify a request. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

To make a privacy request, email info@winterroofing.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or call (408) 363-8052. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits it; we may request proof of authority and verification.

Security

We take steps intended to protect information in our custody. However, no website, email system, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not use a website form to send information that is not needed for a roofing inquiry.

Children

This website is intended for property owners, tenants, managers, and other adults seeking roofing services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.

This site links to government, manufacturer, credential, mapping, and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy.

Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy when our website, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when appropriate.
